Show Us Your Mercy, an Opus 7 Concert
Opus 7 is one of Seattles most critically acclaimed choirs, known for performing at the highest level of artistry and one of the most esteemed musical groups anywhere (Seattle Times, Seattle P-I).
Opus 7s March concert Show Us Your Mercy is a powerful collection of choral music for the Lenten season. The concert will feature music for choir and virtuosic soloists Page Smith, cello; and Ervin-Luka Seek, violin; two works for choir and percussion with Karen Sunmark, and several 16th-17th-century works for choir and continuo including organist Wyatt Smith. Opus 7 also performs Seattle Composer Peter Hallocks Rachels Lament with mezzo-soprano Kathryn Weld, handbells and choir. Loren Pontén conducts this annual concert for the penitential season of Lent.
